Talking is a positive attribute, a certain power that few people use as their aides. Talking can help us make friends (enemies either), and help other feel included in a group. However, we often get caught up in aimless talking or gossiping and rather forget to think before we open our mouths.
How harmful gossiping is?
Gossiping is about talking your heart out (not your brains…remember). Simple gossiping can put you, your family, your friends adrift, and can damage relationships. You cannot imagine how much you are putting at stake when you indulge yourself in a heartwarming gossip.
Three questions you can ask yourself to check whether you are indulging in a gossip. First, is the news you are sharing fit enough to be shared? Second, does the person know that you would be sharing the news with others? Third, how would you have reacted if you were in his place?
Be sure that if you gossip, it will certainly come back to you at a time when you will be least prepared and will eventually hurt yourself. The moral of the story, "Do unto others what you would have them do to you."
