Ancient Mesopotamia Civilization

Mesopotamia civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the history of mankind, flourished in Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates. Believed to be started around 4,000-3,500 BC, this civilization is supposed to be ended around 2334 BC. Being believed to be the first civilization in the history, Mesopotamia civilization or modern day Iraq gave the first written language to the world.

The major stepping stone of Sumerian civilization were found in Eridu, believed to be of the proto-civilized Ubaid period. This old place was considered as the temple city of the great civilization. However, in 4th millennium BC, a conduit built of bricks and other evidences were found in Nippur. Later many evidences were found to describe the outlook of the great civilization.
